The president of USA and first lady confirmed in the early hours of Friday morning that both have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The pair were tested after Hope Hicks, a White House aide, also tested positive for the disease. The Trumps will isolate in the White House while they recover.

The White House has released this statement from President Trump’s physician also both are tweeted about the news.

The president’s physician said the couple is both “well at this time” adding that he expects Trump to “continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering” but Trump will not return to the campaign trail for now.
